The Sauna

More than heat.
It's löyly.

löyly · “LOH-oo-loo” — n. the wave of steam released when water is ladled over hot sauna stones

In Finland, sauna isn’t a luxury — it’s a way of life, passed down for thousands of years. It’s where you go to sweat out the week, quiet your mind, and sit with good company or good silence.

We built Löyly to bring that tradition home to the Magic Valley: true Finnish-style saunas, each with its own cold plunge waiting just outside the door — set among newly planted trees, with the mountains on the horizon. Come as you are, leave restored.

The Ritual

Heat. Plunge. Rest.

The Finnish cycle is simple, and that’s the point. Hot sauna, cold plunge, open sky — move through it once or three times. Your hour, your pace.

No. 1

Heat lämpö

Settle onto the bench and let the warmth sink in. Ladle water over the stones when you’re ready — the löyly rises, the shoulders drop, and the sweat begins its work.

10–15 minutes in the heat
No. 2

Plunge avanto

Step out and slip into the cold plunge waiting beside your sauna. The contrast is the magic — your heart wakes up, your skin tingles, and your mind snaps bright and clear.

30 seconds of brave
No. 3

Rest rauha

Sip water, breathe, and take in the trees and the mountains while your body settles. Repeat the cycle as many times as feels right — you’ll leave loose, clear-headed, and quietly glad you came.

Leave lighter than you arrived

Why Sauna

Your body already knows why

Finns have sworn by the sauna for generations — and modern research keeps agreeing with them.

Circulation

Hot sauna, cold plunge — the contrast gets your blood moving like a workout, no treadmill required.

Deeper sleep

The post-sauna cooldown tells your body it’s time to wind down. Many regulars sleep like stones.

Recovery

Heat helps tired muscles let go. Athletes, ranchers, and desk-sitters all walk out looser.

A clear head

No phones, no noise — just heat, steam, and stillness. The original mindfulness practice.

Sauna is a wellness practice, not a medical treatment — if you have a health condition, check with your doctor first.
